Hi, I’m Cassidy Voorhees-Hiland, a UI/UX designer who cares about clarity, usability, and thoughtful visual systems. Originally from Florida, I’m now based in the Twin Cities.
I approach design as a balance between structure and intuition. My goal is to create digital experiences that feel easy to use and intentional, while still reflecting the personality and goals of the people behind them. I believe good design should guide users naturally and never make them stop to think about what comes next.
Whether I’m working on a new website or refining an existing interface, I focus on understanding the problem first. From there, I make design decisions that prioritize clarity, flow, and real user needs. I’m especially drawn to projects where design helps simplify complexity and create a better experience overall.
What I do:
User-Centered Design I design with users in mind, grounding decisions in behavior, context, and accessibility to create intuitive, engaging experiences.
UX and UI Design From wireframes to high-fidelity designs, I focus on clear information hierarchy, interaction patterns, and visual systems that scale.
Conversion-Aware Design I combine strong visuals with thoughtful layout and flow to support engagement and meaningful action.
Outside of Design
When I’m not designing, you’ll usually find me exploring my love of tea. I’m currently on the path to becoming a certified tea sommelier. My curiosity about culture and craft has also taken me abroad, including co-founding a coffee shop in the Republic of Georgia.
Those experiences shape how I approach design. I care deeply about intentionality, balance, and creating systems that feel considered and human.
